Happy New Year!
I hope it's off to a great start. Great starts include breakfast, in my book, so I was pleased to find a quick, easy and delicious treat to make for New Year's Day, after we all stayed up waa-a-a-a-y too late the night before.
This is genius. Open a package of crescent rolls, separate them, brush with butter and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon, roll 'em up, bake, brush the tops with more butter and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar, serve and then get your hand out of the way before you lose some fingers. I barely got to snap the picture before they were gone.
My living room is toasty too, warmed by a thoughtful aunt who made us a delightfully colorful quilt for Christmas. Thanks, Aunt Penny! It looks great on the cedar chest. It's been even better than a kaleidoscope to keep me busy-examining all the pieces of fabric to discover each pattern and color.
Here's hoping the coming year is soft, warm, colorful, delightful, delicious, easy, interesting, sweet, flavorful, restful, comforting, comfortable, and full of loving family and friends.
