Hold on to your windbreaker, this is not a food blog, by any means. But since food grows outdoors, and this IS an outdoor blog, outdoor food counts.
Zucchini is alive and well, both at the farmer's market and in Daughter #1's garden. So far we've had:
- zucchini lasagna,
- zucchini soup,
- stir-fried zucchini,
- spaghetti with zucchini,
- zucchini cornbread (puts you in mind of a certain Tom Hanks movie, doesn't it?),
- These delicious little turkey zucchini sliders,
and the winner by a bushel basket-zucchini muffins. The Whee likes these so much she learned to make them herself this week. I think we're on the third batch in four days.
Aren't these baked delights just gourdous? I just can't squash the creative cooking around here.
