Embracing the Fall

It's a gray, rainy, day, perfect for studying and writing a syllabus for a new class. That and cooler temperature is about all I can put on the "pros" list for fall.

The pros list:
  • Philoboy smells better
  • Writing productivity goes up
  • ummm
  • ummm
  • there's squash to eat
  • there's pumpkins to decorate.  And eat.
  • It's not winter
  • Christmas is only 113 days away.

The cons:
  • all my time is scheduled
  • all my scheduled time has deadlines
  • all my scheduled time deadlines are set by other people
  • I have to find all the long sleeved shirts
  • It's not summer
  • Christmas is 113 days away

Fall is when all the cute little outdoor creatures start to don their winter coverings.

SUMMER COVERING

FALL COVERING
(Don't shoot!  That one's cute!!!)

Need to see that again?  Post-winter molt. The rejuvenation of exuviation.  Daughter decorticated.

Winter covering.  Lanose loved one.  Velutinous spawn.

Break out the galoshes and gaters, shake out the slickers and  pull out the poncho. Access the anorak, we're going outside!

Happy Trails and may you be awash in adventure!
