The makings of mystery

You know what month this is, right?  And what that means to mothers everywhere? That's right, chocolate!!!  Chocolate appropriated from your lil children's trick-or-treat baskets, for their own good. Bags and bags of chocolate sitting around, just waiting for the knock on the door, and little spooks to smile sweetly as you ration out the mini-bars. One for you, one for you, two for me...

The Whee has not outgrown the whole dress up and beg for candy routine.  For that matter, neither has her older sister.  Any excuse for heavy make-up, gothic dress, and candy.

Added to the festivities is the Whee's first Maskerade Ball. Before you correct my spelling let me point out that's how it was written on the flyer from the school.  Cute or education deficit? You decide.

In preparation for the festivities I started stockpiling candy (and I haven't told anyone where it is), Daughter #1 went costume shopping, and the Whee and her friends made masks. I have to share the creativity...

It required a lot of glue and glitter and paint.

And sequins, and rhinestones, and feathers.

Wow.  Very dramatic and effective.

Oh yeah, and loud music and giggling.  It required a lot of giggling.

Mystery.  Mystique.  Masks. Can't hide the fact they had fun!
